Introducing Omnipress’ newest Account Manager, Bennet Wencel!
Please join us in welcoming a new member to the Omnipress sales team, account manager Bennet Wencel! Coming to Omnipress with five years of sales experience, Bennet brings a blend of proven results and fresh perspective to the table.
Bennet attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, receiving a degree in American Studies, which included coursework in business, computer science, and economics, among other subjects. A lifelong athlete, he minored in coaching.
When approaching a prospect, Bennet focuses on finding the pain and helping to alleviate it. He’s assertive without being annoying—Bennet knows how to be persistent without crossing the line. You can turn to him with a problem and he’ll use that tenacity to your advantage by searching tirelessly for a solution. Bennet is a fixer, in the best sense of the word.
A Madison native, Bennet recently returned to Wisconsin after spending two years working in Minneapolis. Omnipress’ company culture and small-business charm put the company on Bennet’s radar. “I get the impression that you have fun in addition to working hard together,” he said. After working at a company with over 4,000 employees, being part of a smaller team with true camaraderie appealed to him.
On Omnipress’ part, Bennet’s sales experience and prospecting background, as well as his positive personality, made for a good fit. It’s clear that Bennet excels at building relationships with clients and coworkers. He’s excited about, not intimidated by, all the changes to association content delivery in the past few years. “It’s an exciting time to be involved in this industry.”
In his first year at Omnipress, Bennet’s goals are clear: Learn the products backwards and forwards. Reach out to new clients. Add value to his customers and to Omnipress. Become a resource for the customer. Build his industry knowledge. Every goal has the same end in mind—learn how to do the best job he possibly can.
In his free time, Bennet enjoys active, outdoor activities. He has completed two Ironman triathlons and participates in a local running club. Bennet’s activities span Wisconsin’s seasons, so he’s always ready to get outside, to golf, bike, swim, ski, or snowshoe. Coming back to Madison allows Bennet to spend more time with his family; his parents, sister, brother-in-law, niece, aunt, uncle, and grandparents all live nearby.
Connect with Bennet on LinkedIn to learn more about him while we work on sales team profiles for our new website, set to launch this spring. (Reacquaint yourself with the rest of the Omnipress sales team, too.) Welcome, Bennet!
