How Choosing a Fulfillment Partner is Like Getting Married: Part 3

Previously, I’ve been sharing with you how choosing a vendor to fulfill your training materials and publications is almost like getting married. Now it’s time for the second date. If you like what you hear and see, schedule a second call. During the second call, ask a lot of questions of each other. Start to gather requirements for doing business like specifications.

Then it’s time to go steady. Well, kind of. It’s ok to see other vendors but at this point hopefully you are down to just a couple of serious suitors. Ask for samples of your future partner’s work and then meet the parents and the rest of the family.

At some point, you should get to know some of the other staff and support people. Who will be your project manager? What is the partner’s customer service like? If you are going to put your complete trust in this company with your products and brand, it’s got to be about more than just pricing. I’m Tony, and thanks for the minute.
