Woman in a robe and coffee working on laptopHappy summer! Now that we’re past Memorial Day (the unofficial start of summer), we can safely wear sandals and think about just how we’d like to spend our time during this glorious season.

Continuing education content may not exactly be beach-reading material, but that doesn’t mean your learners won’t spend some time on professional development this summer. They may find that reading on the deck or in a hammock is a fun way to work on their careers while enjoying the best that summer has to offer.

Blended learning makes summer professional development even better. Bringing a tablet to your poolside chaise lounge chair fits the carefree vibe of the season better than a heavy manual that’s just going to block your sun. When it’s time to hunker down in the classroom and really hone in, that manual can come off the bookshelf. In the meantime, your learners will be glad they can access CE content online.

Where do you prefer to consume your CE materials when the sun is shining? In what other ways does blended learning benefit your learners in months that don’t end in “R”? Comment here or join the conversation on Facebook or Twitter.
