How Choosing a Fulfillment Partner is Like Getting Married: Part 1

Just as a lot of work should go into selecting a partner in life, a lot of work should go into choosing a partner to print, store, and fulfill your publications, training materials or kitted orders. It’s not a decision you should make in a hurry with price as the only consideration. It’s common to take a period of several months to make a sound decision.

Last year, I worked with an owner of a publications company. After much discussion, discovery and sharing of information, we got married. Well, not really, but during all of the conversations and discovery we joked that we were walking down the aisle to a possible partnership. Looking back at how closely we worked together it seemed like such a close analogy to make.

In the five part series, I’m going to share with you how evaluating and choosing a training, publications and order fulfillment vendor is almost like getting married.
